This is the really fun section of the registry. These are the items you will use when you start teaching your child how to play. They learn a lot from these items so don’t pass these up thinking they aren’t important! If you live in a larger city, definitely go and check out these items in the store. What I have below is what I own and am very happy with.
Graco Glider LX
With our first two kids, we had a Fisher Price My Little Lamb swing. The lesson we learned the hard way was to never buy a swing that runs solely off batteries. Seriously, you’ll pay for the swing twice over just in batteries. We are very happy with our new Graco Glider LX because it doesn’t take up much space, it’s aesthetically pleasing, and it runs off batteries and can be plugged in! If you have older kids at home, you’d be happy to know it is also virtually impossible to tip. Our oldest could get our Fisher Price swing to tip by hanging on it.
Fisher Price Rainforest Jumperoo
There are a ton of different jumpers available. The one I purchased with our first was all muted colors. It works fine, but I should have gone for something brighter like the Rainforest Jumperoo. Our boys loved it from 4-9 months.
Infantino Wonder Whale Kicks and Giggles Gym
We received this as a gift, and it is awesome! Babies can do tummy time, back time, and kick time all on this fun gym.
Fisher Price Step ‘n Play Piano
This was another gift we got from a friend. It’s something I never would have thought to purchase on my own. What I love about this is it growns with the child. The center seat can be removed for toddlers. My 2 and 4 year olds still like to play with this when their little brother is in it.
I can’t say I used this a ton with our first child, but it has been such a life saver with our younger two. It’s great for moving all around the house and gives them some time off of their tummy or back.
Baby Trend Activity Walker
I can only really recommend this one if you live in a house where it would be safe. Thankfully we do live in a one story house, so it gets used a lot.
Rattles and Noise Makers
Registering for these items isn’t really neccessary. I lot of people will just pick up a few things to add to gift bags, etc.
Car Seat Toys
Anything the baby can look at and try to grab is great.
You really can’t go wrong with any of the Lamaze toys. Our boys love the Pirate Octopus and the Peacock.
Canvas Toy Box
The canvas toy box is a great choice because your children will never slam their fingers in the door and it is easily moved from one place to another.
We love playing music and dancing with our little guys. The one album that we play the most is the Jewel Lullaby album. Our boys listen to it all night long!
This is another one where you really don’t need to register for any specific books. You’ll get a tons as gifts, probably even doubles of some. Some books you should look for are the DK Touch and Feel books.
